Frequently Asked Questions

What Is Nutritional IV Therapy?

It has been well documented that our bodies are under assault from external environmental factors that cause inflammation and oxidative stress. Everything from nutrient-poor food to over-scheduled calendars elevates stress response. This toxic burden hinders the body’s ability to properly absorb essential vitamins and minerals. When nutrients are delivered to the body intravenously, they bypass the digestive system and head to the bloodstream and organs. This allows for faster delivery, better absorption and improved nutrient bioavailability than tablets, topical creams or liquid formulas.

What happens when I book a session?

A Liquid Therapy registered nurse (RN) will conduct an assessment of your condition including pulse oximetry, heart rate, blood pressure, medical history, current medications, and allergies. After ensuring that an IV treatment is safe and appropriate for you, the nurse will then discuss your current symptoms and goals for hydration therapy with you and suggest an IV cocktail specifically for your needs. He or she will bring your infusion and begin the infusion via a soft flexible catheter inserted either into your hand or your arm.

What are the qualifications of the Liquid IV Therapy staff?

Every member of our staff is made up of board certified/state licensed medical healthcare professionals. Your treatment will be administered by a registered nurse (RN), and all of our treatment protocols are overseen by a board certified physician.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept any private insurance/Medicare. However, our treatments tend to be less expensive than most co-pays. By not accepting insurance, we are able to keep our overhead down and pass those savings along to you in the form of lower prices. Some Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) or Healthcare Savings Accounts (HSA) are accepted. Please check with your individual insurance or FSA/HSA to ensure they will allow Liquid IV Therapy before treatment, as we do not allow refunds if they choose not to reimburse.

Do You Offer Private Parties Or Group Rates?

We love parties! We offer group rates for parties of 5 or more, bridal parties, bachelor and bachelorette parties as well as corporate parties. Advance notice is very appreciated so we can ensure we have the proper amount of medical staff present to party with you!

Who it’s for?

We at Liquid IV Therapy target our therapies toward enhancing overall health and wellness.  Our therapies utilizes the benefits of intravenous (IV) fluids, medications, and vitamins to treat the effects of dehydration. Please note we are very selective with regards to which specific symptoms and conditions are appropriate for treatment, and certain other health conditions you may possess could disqualify you from receiving treatment.

How long does an IV treatment take?

Since everyone’s body is different every treatment can take a different amount of time. Some people are able to get a full 1000 ml treatment in about 40 minutes, for others that same treatment will take around an hour. We ask that you set aside at least an hour to receive a Liquid Therapy infusion.

Does getting stuck with the needle hurt?

Most people claim that our trained medical personnel make the hydration experience nearly painless, or that they only felt a slight “pinch” when the needle breaks the skin. For those that are seriously nervous about the process being uncomfortable, we offer a topical anesthetic to numb the injection site (for a small fee). Once the IV has started, most people enjoy the cooling sensation as the fluids enter their body.

How often can I get a treatment?

We feel comfortable with our customers getting a Liquid Therapy treatment once per week. We are always able to individually gauge your body’s response to treatments and will accept referrals from your primary care physician if they feel you should be getting treatments more or less often.
